Renowned for its portability and distinctive British style, Brompton’s latest model utilizes a full titanium frame paired with carbon fiber components, bringing the total bike weight to under 14 kilograms and setting a new benchmark for lightweight folding e-bikes.

This model debuts Brompton’s complete titanium frame in an electric variant, with components like the fork, crankset, handlebar, and saddle made from carbon fiber. Thanks to these advanced materials, the single-speed version weighs only about 13.5 kg, and becomes even lighter with the battery removed. Titanium’s benefits go beyond weight savings—it also enhances robustness and corrosion resistance.

Motor system and ride dynamics
Since 2024, Brompton Electric T Line features the in-house designed e-Motiq motor, mounted in the rear hub for better traction and balance, especially when towing the folded bike. It delivers up to 250 watts of power and 24 Nm of torque, with three levels of pedal-assist. A dedicated start assist function helps tackle tricky stops and starts with ease.

Flexible battery setup and range
The 345 Wh battery is conveniently housed in a front carrier bag, making it easy to carry and swap. Official tests show a maximum range around 90 kilometers, though practical distance can vary with terrain, speed, and weather. The system intelligently tracks ride data and dynamically updates range estimates.

Customized for diverse riding needs
Riders can choose between single-speed and 4-speed versions to suit different riding habits. The frame is one-size-fits-all, compatible with riders from 1.5 to 2 meters tall. When folded, the bike is compact and easy to transport. The “Blasted Titanium” finish is classic, with handlebar and seatpost choices available for ergonomic customization.

Highlights and shortcomings
While Brompton shines in design and craftsmanship, details like cable management and the lack of disc brakes could be further refined. The price point is premium: the 4-speed version retails for €6,999, and the single-speed for €6,799, clearly targeting a high-end market.
